1975
Rob van Donselaar starts a rehearsal-studio for local bands in Haarlem. It quickly evolves into a demo-recording studio. Van Donselaar meets Jan Pieter Exalto on one of those demo-sessions.
1976
Van Donselaar and Exalto decide to team up, Exalto takes charge of the engineering at Studio Zeezicht while Van Donselaar takes care of production. Studio Zeezicht becomes a favorite spot for Dutch artists to record their music.
1985
Van Donselaar and Exalto decide to move their studio outside of Haarlem. A new location is found in the countryside of Spaarnwoude.
1986
The renewed Studio Zeezicht is opened. Exalto has taken care of the design and the building of the control-room, which has a unique and famed acoustic quality. Soon after the opening, Frans Hendriks joins the team.
1990
Candy Dulfer records “Saxuality”, her debut-album at Zeezicht. With more than one million copies sold, the album is a worldwide success.
1993
Engineer Bart Wagemakers, schooled at the Conservatory of The Hague, joins Zeezicht.
2000
Studio Zeezicht celebrates it’s twenty-fifth anniversary by acquiring a new mixing-desk, a Solid State Logic (SSL) 9000J.
2000-present
International acts (like Snoop Dogg, the Black Eyed Peas and the Eagles of Death Metal) as well as top artists from Holland prefer Studio Zeezicht for the recording of their music. In 2008, Araf Ahmadali joins Studio Zeezicht as studio manager.
